About the role

Biscuit International Uk has 1 site in the UK based in Gateshead. We have been operating for more than 80 years.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Team Lead to join our production team. In this role, you will lead a team of employees, ensuring all mixing, baking, and production processes are delivered consistently and meet customer requirements and specifications. You will drive the efficiency of the shift, maximize output, minimize waste, and execute the production plan on time. You will be responsible for day-to-day supervision of your team, handling absence, holiday requests, and ER issues, and ensuring the planning of the area is suitable to achieve the required production plan.

Our new colleague’s key responsibilities
  • Set up, adjust, and run moulding lines and processing equipment, including capper system, flavour injection, jam system, chocolate tempera, chocolate enrober, and cooling tunnels.
  • Stand in for Pack Team Lead/Shift Manager when needed.
  • Liaise with Pack Team Lead to ensure product quality and schedule adherence.
  • Train and verify competency on all processing equipment systems.
  • Plan and deliver training with support from Training Manager.
  • Perform GMP audits and risk assessments in own area.
  • Train others to support the prebatch area and transfer skills to new and existing employees.
  • Adhere to stock rotation, allergen control, and traceability procedures.
  • Build, set up, and operate wires cut machines and rotary moulders.
  • Deliver compliance and consistency against set KPIs.
  • Complete process control documentation accurately and on time.
  • Ensure health and safety requirements for the line and team are fully adhered to.
  • Ensure smooth running of processes from warehouse to pre-batch mixing.
  • Record ingredient usage accurately through effective batch control.
  • Carry out other duties as required by business needs.

  • Confident and professional when representing the company.
