Job Description
Job Summary:

This role within Raymarine's Technical Support Department focuses on customer support (both office-based and infield). Responsibilities include diagnostics, repair, training, and attending events. Travel within the UK, EMEA, and APAC regions is required, along with a valid Driving Licence and Passport.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Handle telephone inquiries and provide 1st/2nd line support for FLIR/Raymarine products.
  • Manage CRM and email queries, assist team members, and oversee returns and repairs processes.
  • Conduct in-field service visits and escalate technical issues with full triage to relevant teams.
  • Support engineering teams and contribute to product improvements through technical expertise and customer feedback.
  • Act as a technical subject matter expert to train and mentor team members.
  • Deliver technical training sessions to customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements / Skills:
  • Preferred: Practical sailing/marine experience, shipyard/vessel work, and training experience.
  • Essential: PC literacy, telephony skills, proficiency with Microsoft 365, remote support tools (e.g., AnyDesk), and excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
  • Skills: Fault diagnosis, electrical/electronic repair, understanding of DC circuits and Ethernet networking.
  • Traits: Self-motivated, team-oriented, flexible, and organized.
  • Requirements: Willingness to travel internationally (EMEA/APAC), manual dexterity, and adaptability to changing priorities.

Must be capable of working independently while overseas, making decisions aligned with company policy, and supporting own judgments without constant supervision.

This position involves access to export-controlled information or items (regulated technology or data under ITAR/EAR US regulations). Applicants must be eligible to obtain the necessary export control licenses from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
