Job summary

Proseal UK Limited, part of JBT Marel, is seeking a Compliance Engineer to ensure our products and engineering activities meet UKCA/CE, EMC, PUWER, and related regulations. You will work with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Service teams to embed compliance across the product lifecycle.

The role involves leading risk assessments, maintaining technical files, coordinating external testing and certifications, and driving continuous improvement in governance and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Experience in a compliance, product safety, quality, or engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of machinery safety principles and risk assessment methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory compliance: ensure equipment meets UKCA/CE, EMC, electrical safety, PUWER and related directives.
• Maintain and update technical files and declarations of conformity.
• Lead product risk assessments and hazard analyses during design and manufacturing.
• Coordinate external testing, certification, audits with approved bodies.
• Support continuous improvement of compliance processes and governance.
• Provide training and guidance on regulatory and machinery safety.
