This role is part of our eBay Inhouse team, where you will be employed by DEPT and embedded into eBay's product marketing team.

JOB PURPOSE

eBay is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Product Marketing Manager to drive inbound product marketing and outbound go-to-market strategy for eBay’s financial services programs. This is a unique opportunity to become an integral part of eBay’s global product marketing team, and partnering cross-functionally with product, consumer insights, design, channel marketing, communications, customer service, and sales/market teams.

The ideal candidate is an experienced product marketer who has developed product marketing strategies, including synthesizing research into a targeted strategy, including product-market fit, value propositions, messaging/positioning, and go-to-market plans. As this role requires close partnership with UK/DE third-party entities, UK/DE sellers, and central teams, we require business-proficient written and verbal proficiency in English and German, and accommodation to Pacific Time and Central European Time Zones.

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You are responsible for the product value proposition narrative and go-to-market strategy for seller capital within the financial services team.
  • Influence product roadmaps by synthesizing market, customer, and competitive insights, build audience segmentations, and opportunity sizing.
  • Create customer feedback loops during the product and marketing development process to refine the product narrative and value proposition articulation.
  • Develop product value propositions, narratives, customer messaging, naming, and external facing proof points.
  • Manage the go-to-market strategy and planning for product launches and then lead through channel experts to ensure execution and impact measurement.
  • Track customer engagement and product adoption of new features by partnering with channel experts across in-product content, marketing, PR communications, customer service, in-market teams, and sales channels.
  • Identify internal product-market fit tracking metrics; synthesize customer feedback to provide signals amidst the noise across the product lifecycle: development, launch, and optimization/expansion.
  • Build up the value proposition leveraging the voice of the customer to optimize product marketing messaging and to advise on product recommendations.
  • Define key metrics for success, and track progress against goals for the product launches and in-market growth adoption of existing products or services.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing, with at least 3 years leading company-wide initiatives.
  • Strong track record of developing product and go-to-market strategies at financial services companies or in payments within e-commerce companies.
  • Proven ability to drive innovation, execute projects with excellence.
  • Success working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and excellent communication skills.
  • Strong data analysis skills and experience with customer research techniques.
  • Fluency in English and German language.
