Job Description:

This role is part of our eBay Inhouse team, where you will be employed by DEPT and embedded into eBay's product marketing team.

JOB PURPOSE

eBay is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Product Marketing Manager to drive inbound product marketing and outbound go-to-market strategy for eBay’s financial services programs. This is a unique opportunity to become an integral part of eBay’s global product marketing team, partnering cross-functionally with product, consumer insights, design, channel marketing, communications, customer service, and sales/market teams.

The ideal candidate is an experienced product marketer who has developed product marketing strategies, including synthesizing research into targeted strategies such as product-market fit, value propositions, messaging/positioning, and go-to-market plans. As this role requires close partnership with UK/DE third-party entities, UK/DE sellers, and central teams, proficiency in English and German, both written and verbal, is required, along with flexibility to work in Pacific Time and Central European Time Zones.

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop the product value proposition narrative and go-to-market strategy for seller capital within the financial services team.
  • Influence product roadmaps by synthesizing market, customer, and competitive insights, building audience segmentations, and opportunity sizing.
  • Create customer feedback loops during product and marketing development to refine narratives and value propositions.
  • Develop product value propositions, narratives, customer messaging, naming, and external proof points.
  • Manage go-to-market strategies and plans for product launches, ensuring execution and impact measurement through channel experts.
  • Track customer engagement and product adoption of new features by collaborating with in-product content, marketing, PR, customer service, in-market teams, and sales channels.
  • Identify key metrics for product-market fit, synthesize customer feedback, and monitor signals across the product lifecycle: development, launch, and optimization/expansion.
  • Leverage the voice of the customer to optimize product marketing messaging and advise on product recommendations.
  • Define success metrics and track progress for product launches and in-market growth of existing products or services.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing, including at least 3 years leading company-wide initiatives.
  • Proven track record in developing product and go-to-market strategies at financial services or e-commerce payment companies.
  • Ability to drive innovation and execute projects with excellence.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Data analysis skills and experience with customer research techniques.
  • Fluency in English and German.
