Nabu Casa is the organisation behind Home Assistant, the world’s largest free and open-source smart home platform used by over two million households. We are profitable with no external investors; funding comes from Home Assistant Cloud subscriptions and hardware sales. We support other open-source projects related to hardware, standards, and voice technology, and partner with the Open Home Foundation to protect and promote open-source initiatives.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and visionary Product Manager based in Europe to lead the strategy for our Cloud and Customer Support products. This role offers a unique opportunity to define the future of these critical areas, working with our teams and aligning our efforts with the global open-source community.

What You Are Going To Do

• Identify and execute a product strategy for the future of our Cloud and CS products, from ideation to delivery, together with engineers, program managers and leadership at Nabu Casa and the Open Home Foundation.
• Join the day-to-day product development operation, participating actively in anything required to complete the job.
• Collaborate with our internal teams, ensuring delivery.
• Collaborate with our partner, the Open Home Foundation, ensuring alignment and the best integration possible between our products and their technologies.
• Help shape our product roadmap and work with the teams to.
• Involve our worldwide community in shaping Nabu Casa products, from discovery to delivery.

What You Need To Have

• 5+ years of experience driving and shaping strategy and vision for a product, delivering value to users as a product manager.
• Experience in delivering products in the B2C space
• Meaningful experience with complete autonomy, and iterative development/releasing.
• Proficiency in working in multi-disciplinary teams (UX designers, researchers, marketing, and engineers).
• Proficiency in communication, being able to adapt the message to the audience.
• Comfort with public speaking during workshops, meetups, livestreams, etc.
• Professional Fluency in English: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• European Residency: You must be currently based and eligible to work within Europe.

What we offer You

Nabu Casa is a fully remote organization that uses Remote to employ people from all over the world. You will be a normal salaried employee in your country. This is a full-time position for 40 hours per week. Because we are a fully remote company, there is no fixed schedule. For team communication, we try to ensure at least 3 hours of overlap in the workday. You will report to our Technical Program Manager, based in the UK.

When first offering a position to a new member, Nabu Casa aims to provide a total compensation package that matches the 75th percentile for the role and market. For a Senior Product Manager in our primary operating countries, approximate yearly compensation is:

• Netherlands: 78.000 EUR.
• UK: 75.000 GBP.
• Spain: 65.000 EUR.
• Portugal: 65.000 EUR.
• Other countries: Compensation can be discussed during the first interview.

These figures may be adjusted based on experience, qualifications, and work hours.
