Royal Brompton Hospital, part of Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, seeks an experienced senior purchasing professional for the Pharmacy Purchasing Office. You will allocate staff, order pharmaceuticals and gases, manage invoicing, and supervise ward stock across Trust sites with a focus on infection control.

Candidate should have NHS pharmacy procurement knowledge, invoicing experience, and a background as a pharmacy technician, assistant, or administrator.

Formación

• NVQ 2 Pharmacy qualification is required.
• Experience in NHS pharmacy procurement and invoicing.
• Experience in writing procedures and training staff.
• Experience in pharmacy purchasing and hospital environment.

Responsabilidades

• Manage the operational running of the Pharmacy Purchasing Office and allocate staff to workload.
• Ensure ordering and invoicing of pharmaceuticals and gases follows Trust procedures and maintain systems/equipment.
• Oversee purchasing and stock levels of medical and special gases.
• Manage ward stock, storage, rotation, and liaise with staff.
• Deputise for the Pharmacy Purchasing and Distribution Lead.
• Maintain pharmacy price and contract files.
• Investigate purchasing and invoicing queries.
• Support Harefield pharmacy distribution team and ensure prompt invoicing and queries resolution.
• Incorporate infection prevention into service delivery.
• If a pharmacy technician, support the dispensary as an accredited checking pharmacist.
