Job summary

East Cheshire NHS Trust is seeking a Pharmacy Purchasing and Invoicing Officer to join the Pharmacy Procurement team. You will handle ordering, invoicing, stock management and liaise with suppliers, SBS and ward staff to ensure timely supply of medicines while maintaining patient safety.

The role requires strong organisation, attention to detail and good communication skills. A proactive team player with NHS hospital pharmacy experience is preferred; DBS check applies.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs A-C or equivalent.
• NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience.
• ECDL or equivalent knowledge.
• CIPS qualification.

Responsibilities

• Ordering and invoicing pharmaceutical goods.
• Chasing and resolving overdue orders.
• Managing and responding to supply issues.
• Maintaining accurate EDI system information and updating supplier data monthly.
• Ensuring adequate stock levels to support patient care.
• Communicating about out-of-stock items to pharmacy staff and negotiating delivery arrangements.
