Job summary

Orion Electrotech in the United Kingdom is seeking a highly organised Procurement Coordinator to balance day-to-day purchasing with supplier development, global sourcing and process improvement. You will manage purchasing requirements, proactively monitor supplier performance and ensure critical components are available to support production.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience in a Procurement Coordinator/Buyer role in manufacturing or engineering environments.
• Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and Excel.
• Proactive approach to supplier management and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day purchasing activities through MRP systems.
• Raise and manage purchase orders with approved suppliers.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from new and existing suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance and delivery schedules.
• Chase and maintain accurate delivery ETAs.
• Develop supplier relationships and negotiate pricing, lead times and terms.
• Support global sourcing initiatives and identify alternative suppliers.
• Work with operations to minimise supply chain disruption.
• Maintain procurement records, pricing and supplier data.
• Drive continuous improvement across procurement processes and systems.
