Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Process Engineer for a dynamic manufacturer of specialty chemicals in Randburg, Gauteng. You will optimize and maintain process performance, ensure safety and quality, and support scale-up from lab to production.

You will collaborate with operations, maintenance, and quality teams on process improvements, PFDs/P&IDs, and control strategies to drive efficiency and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering required.
• 4+ years of process engineering experience in chemical manufacturing.
• Solid understanding of unit operations, reaction engineering, and thermodynamics.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimize process performance to improve efficiency and yield.
• Troubleshoot operational issues to minimize downtime and maintain product quality.
• Develop and maintain PFDs and P&IDs; support process control initiatives.
• Ensure safety, health and environmental compliance in all processes.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance and quality teams to meet production goals.
