The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in chemical manufacturing, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with supervisors, operators, and maintenance teams. A safety-conscious, results-driven mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from a recognized university.
• 2-4 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing or process engineering role.
• Solid understanding of chemical engineering principles, including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and reaction kinetics.
• Experience with process monitoring and data analysis tools.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with operations staff.
• Familiarity with safety procedures and environmental regulations in the chemical industry.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, including time spent at Randburg plant.

Responsibilities

• Monitor key process parameters and plant performance indicators to ensure operational efficiency.
• Investigate and troubleshoot process deviations, equipment malfunctions, and quality issues.
• Implement and track process improvements to enhance yield, reduce waste, and lower costs.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
• Assist in the development and updating of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Support the training of operators on process procedures and safety protocols.
• Participate in process safety reviews and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team on equipment reliability and preventative maintenance strategies.
• Prepare regular operational reports and analyses for management.
