Job summary

Talent Smart is seeking a driven Process Engineer to support development, improvement and introduction of manufacturing processes with a focus on parylene coating applications. The role combines technical problem-solving, project work and customer interaction across multiple projects.

You will work closely with manufacturing, equipment engineering, quality and sales teams to develop, improve and document processes and specifications, ensuring efficient, high-quality production outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of production or process engineering in manufacturing, lab or similar setting.
• Strong understanding of Lean and Six Sigma principles.
• Experience in process improvement and the 5 Whys methodology.

You’ll join a dynamic, collaborative environment with 70 people in their Woking facility.

The Role

We’re looking for a driven Process Engineer to support the development, improvement and introduction of manufacturing processes, with a particular focus on parylene coating applications.

The role will involve a strong mix of technical problem-solving, project work and customer interaction, with a healthy pipeline of projects at different stages.

Key Requirements

• Minimum of 3+ years of production or process engineering experience within a manufacturing, laboratory or similar technical environment
• Strong understanding of Lean and Six Sigma principles
• Practical experience of process improvement and the 5 Whys methodology
• Customer-facing experience, with the ability to understand technical requirements and develop appropriate solutions
• Proven project experience, ideally involving laser cutting machinery, 3D printing or similar technologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate process anomalies and identify root causes
• Experience developing, improving and documenting processes and specifications
• Ability to work closely with manufacturing, equipment engineering, quality and sales teams
• Self-starter with a proactive, driven and solutions-focused approach
• Strong communication, organisation and time-management skills
