Job summary

Orion Electrotech Sales is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a UK-based metal additive manufacturing operation near Newbury. You will support development, delivery and continuous improvement of manufacturing engineering activities, working with the ME Product Lead and cross-functional teams to ensure customer, quality, engineering and production requirements are understood and delivered effectively.

The role requires a qualification in engineering or a related field, experience in production

Qualifications

• Engineering, manufacturing or technical qualification preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, product coordination or technical operations within a production-led environment.
• Able to support product, quality, cost and schedule delivery within defined processes.
• Working knowledge of production documentation, change control and product lifecycle support.

Responsibilities

• Support development, delivery and continuous improvement of manufacturing engineering activities.
• Work closely with ME Product Lead and cross-functional teams to ensure requirements are understood and delivered.
• Contribute to production, quality and cost targets and ensure lifecycle processes are followed.

Job description

My client is a UK-based manufacturing company specialising in metal additive manufacturing with integrated post-processing. As a business they serve aerospace, defence, semiconductor, oil & gas and space customers, including blue-chip companies. As the Manufacturing Engineer, youll support the development, delivery and continuous improvement of manufacturing engineering activities, working closely with the ME Product Lead and cross-functional teams to ensure customer, quality, engineering and production requirements are clearly understood and delivered effectively.

What we would like from the Manufacturing Engineer

• Engineering, manufacturing or technical qualification preferred, or equivalent relevant experience


• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, product coordination or technical operations within a production-led environment


• Able to support product, quality, cost and schedule delivery within defined processes


• Working knowledge of production documentation, change control and product lifecycle support


• Experience with Cad/CAM, build preparation software, ERP/MRP, quality systems or production data tools


• Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001 or similar quality frameworks
