Job summary

CT19 in Oxford is seeking a hands-on Process Engineer to industrialise and scale manufacture of precision consumables, bridging R&D and Manufacturing. You’ll translate new products from development into robust, repeatable production lines while maintaining quality and yield.

Responsibilities include implementing coating and surface treatment processes, leading DoE, SPC and process capability improvements, and ensuring IQ/OQ/PQ and manufacturing validation.

We’re supporting a fast-growing Oxford-based scientific technology company looking for a Process Engineer to help industrialise and scale the manufacture of precision consumable products.

The role sits between R&D and Manufacturing, taking new products and processes from development through to robust, repeatable production.

You’ll work across areas including:

• Coating and surface treatment processes
• NPI and design transfer
• Process optimisation and yield improvement
• DoE, SPC and process capability
• Root cause analysis and structured problem solving
• IQ/OQ/PQ and manufacturing validation
• Cleanroom and precision manufacturing environments

We’re keeping the background fairly open.

You could come from Life Sciences, Diagnostics, Medical Devices, Microfluidics, Semiconductors, Microfabrication, Advanced Materials or Scientific Instrumentation.

Relevant technical experience could include:

• Surface chemistry / surface modification
• Wet chemistry
• Microfluidic cartridges or consumables
• Optical inspection / surface characterisation
• Reagent or assay scale-up

You don’t need experience across all of these areas. The priority is someone who understands how to take technically challenging manufacturing processes and make them robust, scalable and repeatable.
