Job summary

Origen Carbon is building zero-emission lime and planning large-scale deployment from Bristol. We seek a Process Development Lead to own the evolving process questions for our plants, working with the VP Technology and Design Engineering Manager.

This is a build-from-ground-up opportunity to shape how we fire, power, and scale our processes. You will own a portfolio of process improvements, assess R&D concepts for scale-up, translate findings into engineering-ready requirements, and lead

Qualifications

• Proven process engineering experience in an industrial setting.
• Ability to work on long-term questions without fixed deadlines.
• Experience working directly with OEMs, suppliers or external partners.
• Comfort with heat and mass balances and process flow diagrams.
• Background in lime, cement, minerals processing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own a prioritised portfolio of process improvement initiatives with senior leadership.
• Assess R&D concepts for industrial scale-up potential and feasibility.
• Translate scientific findings into engineering-ready process requirements.
• Lead feasibility and trade-off analyses for major process changes.
• Build relationships with OEMs, suppliers and external technical partners.
• Work with Design Engineering as the process voice in reviews.
• Report progress and risks to the VP Technology and investors.
