Job summary

Origen Carbon is hiring a Process Development Lead to own the pathway from demonstration to commercial lime plants. You will define process questions, work with the VP Technology and Design Engineering Manager, and drive scalable, robust processes in a capital-intensive setting.

You will partner with OEMs and suppliers, translate research into concrete engineering requirements, and report progress to leadership while shaping long-term carbon removal ambitions.

Qualifications

• Genuine process engineering experience in an industrial setting, not lab-scale only.
• Ability to work on long-term questions without fixed deadlines.
• Experience with OEMs, suppliers or external technical partners.
• Comfort with heat and mass balances and process flow diagrams.
• Background in lime, cement, minerals processing or similar.

Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of process improvement initiatives with senior leadership alignment.
• Assess R&D concepts for industrial scale-up: feasibility and cost impact.
• Translate findings into engineering-ready requirements for design teams.
• Lead feasibility and trade-off analyses for major process changes.
• Build relationships with OEMs, suppliers and external partners.
