Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group is seeking an Infrastructure Specialist for Private Cloud focused on VMware technologies, including Cloud Foundation, with a strong emphasis on automation-first platform engineering. The role involves building, deploying and operating compute hosting platforms across the Private Cloud ecosystem, ensuring security, resilience and scalable operations.

Qualifications

Proven infrastructure or platform engineering experience in private cloud environments.
Experience with VMware technologies (vSphere, Cloud Foundation, vSAN, NSX).
Ability to design/operate platforms using automation and infrastructure-as-code.
Familiarity with Git/GitHub for source control.
Understanding of security, compliance and resilience in enterprise environments.
Experience supporting production platforms with high availability and performance requirements.
Experience with Agile ways of working.
Knowledge of Hybrid Private Cloud solutions.
Experience with backup, restore and disaster recovery processes.

Responsibilities

Design, build, operate and continuously improve services running on VMware and Bare Metal platforms.
Lead automation and infrastructure-as-code initiatives to reduce manual intervention.
Provide expert guidance while collaborating with internal teams, partners and vendors.
Support and manage enterprise infrastructure platforms with a focus on reliability and security.
