Job summary
Lloyds Banking Group is seeking a Private Cloud Infrastructure Specialist (VMware) to join the Private Cloud Platform team in a hybrid role based in Manchester or Leeds. The role concentrates on automation-first platform engineering around VMware Cloud Foundation, Dell hardware, and infrastructure-as-code to deliver secure, scalable compute hosting.
You'll drive automation, resilience and security across the platform lifecycle, act as a technical authority, and collaborate with internal teams,
Qualifications
- Proven experience as Infrastructure or Platform Engineer in private cloud.
- Experience with VMware vSphere / Cloud Foundation, vSAN, NSX.
- Designing/operating platforms with automation and IaC.
- Source control with Git/GitHub.
- Understanding of security, compliance and resilience.
- Experience supporting production platforms with high availability.
Responsibilities
- Deliver compute hosting platforms across the Private Cloud ecosystem.
- Apply platform engineering and IaC to automate, secure and scale services.
- Provide technical guidance and collaborate with internal teams and vendors.
- Maintain high availability and performance of production systems.
