Job summary

G2 Legal Limited in Reading, Berkshire, is seeking a Senior Private Client Solicitor to join a highly regarded Legal 500 and Chambers-listed firm. The role offers a high-quality caseload, hybrid working, and clear progression towards leadership within an established team.

You will handle Wills, probate, trusts and estate planning, and oversee client relationships while contributing to the ongoing development of the department. A long-term succession plan is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 5+ years PQE in Private Client law.
• Strong experience in Wills, probate, trusts and estate planning.
• Experience handling complex estates and inheritance tax matters.
• Excellent client-facing and relationship management skills.
• STEP qualification or working towards STEP would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

Our client, a highly regarded Legal 500 and Chambers-listed law firm, is looking to recruit a Senior Private Client Solicitor (5+ PQE) to join its established team in Reading.

This is an excellent opportunity to handle a high-quality caseload within a supportive department, with genuine scope to take on greater responsibility and progress towards a future leadership role.

The Role

You will advise on a broad range of Private Client matters, including:

• Wills, LPAs and estate planning
• Probate and complex estate administration
• Inheritance Tax planning
• Trust creation and administration
• Elderly client matters and Court of Protection
• Trust and estate disputes

You will also lead client relationships and contribute to the continued development of the department.

About You

• 5+ years' PQE in Private Client law
• Strong technical experience across Wills, probate, trusts and estate planning
• Experience handling complex estates and inheritance tax matters
• Excellent client-facing and relationship management skills
• STEP qualified or working towards STEP would be advantageous
