Job summary

G2 Legal Limited is assisting a highly regarded Legal 500 and Chambers-listed firm in Reading to recruit a Senior Private Client Solicitor (5+ PQE). You will manage a high-quality private client caseload and play a pivotal role in developing the team and future leadership.

You will handle wills, probate, trusts and estate planning, with a focus on complex estates and inheritance tax matters, while strengthening client relationships and contributing to strategic department growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' PQE in Private Client law.
• Strong technical experience across Wills, probate, trusts and estate planning.
• Experience handling complex estates and inheritance tax matters.
• Excellent client-facing and relationship management skills.
• STEP qualification or progression toward STEP is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Advise on wills, LPAs and estate planning, probate, trusts and estate administration.
• Handle inheritance tax matters and tax planning where appropriate.
• Lead client relationships and contribute to the development of the department.
• Manage complex estates and disputes within the Private Client remit.

The Opportunity

Our client, a highly regarded Legal 500 and Chambers-listed law firm, is looking to recruit a Senior Private Client Solicitor (5+ PQE) to join its established team in Reading.

This is an excellent opportunity to handle a high-quality caseload within a supportive department, with genuine scope to take on greater responsibility and progress towards a future leadership role.

The Role

You will advise on a broad range of Private Client matters, including:

• Wills, LPAs and estate planning.
• Probate and complex estate administration.
• Inheritance Tax planning.
• Trust creation and administration.
• Elderly client matters and Court of Protection.
• Trust and estate disputes.

You will also lead client relationships and contribute to the continued development of the department.

About You

• 5+ years' PQE in Private Client law.
• Strong technical experience across Wills, probate, trusts and estate planning.
• Experience handling complex estates and inheritance tax matters.
• Excellent client-facing and relationship management skills.
• STEP qualified or working towards STEP would be advantageous.
