Austen Lloyd seeks a Senior Private Client Solicitor for a leading Leicester practice. You will handle high-value private client matters for high-net-worth individuals and vulnerable clients, guiding the department’s growth and development.

The role involves drafting wills, trusts, and estate planning, with opportunities for client leadership, mentoring, and strategic contribution to the Private Client team. Hybrid and flexible working options are available.

Competenze

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive status.
• Ideally 5+ years' PQE in private client law.
• Strong technical expertise across wills, probate, trusts, tax planning, and estate administration.
• Experience advising high-net-worth clients.
• STEP qualification or commitment to achieve it.

Location: Leicester

Salary: £60,000 to £80,000

The Opportunity

A leading and highly respected Leicester law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Private Client Solicitor to join its thriving Private Client team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a prestigious client base, including high-net-worth individuals, business owners, landed estates, and vulnerable clients, while taking a leading role in the growth and development of the department.

The Role

You will manage a varied caseload of private client matters, including:

• Drafting wills and powers of attorney
• Advising on inheritance tax and estate planning
• Administering estates and trusts
• Handling Court of Protection applications
• Supporting high-net-worth individuals and vulnerable clients with sensitivity and discretion

In addition, you will:

• Advise clients on complex trust and succession planning matters
• Manage high-value estate administration cases
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Mentor and supervise junior team members
• Play an active role in business development and networking initiatives
• Contribute strategically to the continued success and growth of the Private Client department

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive status
• Ideally 5+ years' PQE within private client law
• Strong technical expertise across wills, probate, trusts, tax planning, and estate administration
• Experience advising high-net-worth clients
• STEP qualification or a desire to work towards it
• Excellent interpersonal and client care skills
• A compassionate and professional approach, particularly when assisting vulnerable clients
• Proven ability to manage a busy caseload independently
