Job summary

Focus Resourcing Group is recruiting a Solicitor / Chartered Legal Executive in Reading for its Private Client team. You will manage a varied caseload including wills, probate, tax planning and trust administration, with opportunities to grow into a broader role within the department.

The ideal candidate has 3–7 years' PQE in Private Client law, with strong technical knowledge and a proactive, client-focused approach.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years' PQE in Private Client law.
• Strong knowledge of wills, estate planning and tax.
• Experience supervising junior fee earners.
• Excellent communication and client service.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own varied caseload of private client matters including wills, probate, estate administration, tax planning and trust administration.
• Provide technical guidance and supervision to junior colleagues and contribute to department development.
• Support business development, networking and marketing initiatives to raise the department's profile.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with referrers and clients to drive service delivery.

Are you an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive looking for your next career move? We are working with a well-established and highly regarded law firm that is looking to appoint an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join its established Wills & Inheritance team.

The Role

You will manage your own varied caseload of private client matters, including:

• Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney
• Probate and estate administration
• Tax planning
• Trust administration
• Court of Protection matters

Alongside your own caseload, you will also have the opportunity to take on a broader role within the team, including:

• Providing technical support and guidance to junior team members
• Supervising, mentoring and developing colleagues
• Contributing to the strategic development of the department
• Building strong relationships with existing referrers and professional contacts
• Supporting business development, networking and marketing initiatives
• Raising the profile of the department within the local and professional community

About You

The successful candidate will:

• Be a qualified
• Solicitor or Chartered Legal ExecutiveHave
• 3-7 years' PQE
