Job summary

TSR Legal is seeking a Private Client Partner in Cheltenham to advise high-net-worth clients on wills, estate planning, trusts, and wealth preservation. You will lead high-value matters, cultivate trusted client relationships, and contribute to the practice's growth.

The role combines technical excellence with leadership, mentoring colleagues, shaping strategy, and collaborating with other practice areas to deliver sophisticated, coordinated advice to UHNW clients.

Responsibilities

• Providing strategic advice to HNW and UHNW clients on complex wills, estate planning, trusts, succession planning and wealth preservation.
• Advising on inheritance tax and other tax-sensitive matters, coordinating with specialist tax advisers and other professional intermediaries where appropriate.
• Leading on high-value estate administration, probate, trust creation and administration, and multigenerational wealth planning.
• Advising entrepreneurs, business owners and families on succession strategies involving personal wealth, business interests and family assets.
• Building and maintaining long-term relationships with key clients, families, trustees, accountants, wealth managers and financial advisers.
• Identifying and converting new opportunities, developing referral networks and growing a sustainable and profitable client portfolio.
• Contributing to the private client team's business plan, market positioning and growth strategy
• Supporting, mentoring and developing colleagues, fostering a collaborative culture and helping to attract and retain talent.
• Working with colleagues across private wealth, corporate, family, agriculture and estates, and other relevant practice areas to deliver coordinated advice to clients with complex needs.
