Job summary

Chadwick Nott in Cheltenham is seeking an Associate (5+ PQE) to join its highly regarded Private Client team. You will advise UK and international clients on estate planning, trusts, inheritance tax, wills and wealth preservation, handling complex matters with a City-level quality from a Cheltenham base.

This role offers exposure to cross-border matters, mentoring juniors, and opportunities for career progression within a supportive, collegiate culture.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor or CILEX professional with ideally 5-7 years' PQE.
• Strong background in Private Client law and high-net-worth advisory.
• Excellent knowledge of estate administration, trusts and inheritance tax.
• Experience advising high-net-worth individuals, families or trustees.
• STEP qualification desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Managing your own varied caseload with Private Client matters.
• Delivering clear, practical and commercially focused advice.
• Drafting complex legal documentation for trusts and estates.
• Supervising and mentoring junior team members.
• Supporting business development and networking activities.
