Job summary

GWR Legal Recruitment Ltd is seeking a motivated Private Client Paralegal to join a respected solicitors practice in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. The role offers hands-on support to fee earners in a busy private client team and excellent progression prospects toward solicitor or legal executive status.

Qualifications

• Experience in private client work would be beneficial but is not essential if you have other law experience.
• Willingness to learn and take on increasing levels of responsibility within a private client team.
• Good communication, organisation and accuracy are essential.
• Training and supervision will be provided to support career development.

Responsibilities

• Opening and closing files with ID, AML and compliance checks.
• Handling new client enquiries within the team.
• Meeting clients alongside lawyers to receive instructions and advise on their legal issue.
• Keeping clients updated on matters via phone, email or post.
• Drafting wills and LPAs under supervision.
• Assisting lawyers with Court of Protection and probate matters.
• Carrying out land registry searches.
• General administration: typing/production of letters, forms and documents.
