Howden in Grays is seeking an Account Handler for our Private Clients team. You will cultivate relationships with an existing book of high-net-worth clients and work with insurers to secure renewal terms while delivering exceptional service.

The role emphasizes collaboration, a proactive approach to cross-selling, and progress toward Cert CII. You will develop market knowledge, support client needs, and help the team achieve renewal and growth targets.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in private or high-net-worth client insurance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Cert CII qualified or working towards.
• Proven ability to build and nurture lasting client relationships.
• Commitment to high-quality service and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate relationships with current clients, ensuring outstanding service.
• Attend client meetings, take notes, liaise with insurers, and handle renewals.
• Keep collection specifications updated and maintained.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities and refer to appropriate teams.
• Support market analysis to secure competitive terms.
• Assist with rebuilding cost surveys and valuations where needed.
• Contribute to team targets and overall account growth.
• Adhere to FCA, Bribery Act, and AML requirements; maintain GDPR-compliant records.
