Job summary

Howden is seeking an Account Handler to support SME clients from our Northampton office. You will manage renewals, mid-term adjustments, and premium invoicing while delivering excellent client service.

The role combines on-site work with some home-based days, and offers growth within a growing insurance broker. You will work with the Account Executive to shape renewal strategies, perform market exercises for the best terms, and ensure timely documentation and collections.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of General Insurance and GDPR, plus adherence to the CII Code of Ethics.
• Minimum 2 years' industry experience.
• Experience with broker systems like Acturis is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in renewal targets and client retention.Liaise with Account Executive to plan renewal strategy.
• Obtain renewal terms and present to client.
• Issue renewal documentation and ensure premium collection in line with procedures.
• Record information on Acturis and manage diary system.
• Process mid-term adjustments and liaise with insurers for revised documents.
• Cross-sell products from other divisions.
