Job summary

McLarens invites applications for a Claims Technician within our Private Clients team. You will support Adjusters, manage new claims, triage risk, and help drive the lifecycle from intake to conclusion, including diary management and client liaison.

The role demands prior claims handling experience, progression toward CILA/CII, strong Word/Excel, and excellent stakeholder management in a high-pressure setting.

Qualifications

• Previous claims handling experience including caseload management.
• Working towards CILA/CII qualification.
• Organised with methodical, accurate and analytical approach to work.
• Good working knowledge of Word and Excel.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong relationship management with multiple priorities.
• Thrives in a high-pressured working environment and meets targets.

Responsibilities

• Administration of new claims including receiving instruction, issuing acknowledgments, setting up files and triaging risk.
• Assistance to Adjusters with investigation and validation enquiries.
• Manage lifecycle of files, diary management and proactive claim handling from intake to conclusion.
• Oversee Adjuster caseloads during periods of leave.
• Liaise with insured, insurers, brokers and stakeholders to ensure service quality.
• Produce technical reports for Adjusters in line with standards and guidelines.
• Ensure time reporting and billing compliance across processes.
• Develop and run management information for clients and internal use.
• Provide account management support and handle incoming queries.
• Handle invoicing and related tasks.
