Job summary

McLarens in Manchester seeks a Claims Technician to join the Support function. You will support Adjusters, manage claim files from setup to conclusion, and ensure timely, accurate reporting and invoicing.

You’ll liaise with insureds and brokers, produce technical reports, and help maintain data integrity. The role requires experience in a fast-paced office environment, strong communication, and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders, with occasional travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in an insurance or loss adjusting environment would be beneficial
• Fast-paced office/administration experience required
• Ability to learn and adapt to systems efficiently
• Organised, methodical, and accurate with strong output quality
• Good knowledge of Word and Excel
• Excellent communication skills and clear, structured language
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to handle multiple priorities
• Comfortable in a high-pressured environment and meeting targets
• Willingness to travel when required

Responsibilities

• Administer new claims: receive instruction, issue acknowledgements, set up files, triage.
• Assist Adjusters with investigation and validation enquiries.
• Control lifecycle of files: diary management, proactive claims handling from setup to conclusion.
• Oversee Adjuster caseloads during leave.
• Liaise with insureds, insurers, brokers and stakeholders for service excellence.
• Produce technical reports for Adjusters in line with standards and timescales.
• Ensure time reporting and billing comply with internal systems.
• Develop and run management information for clients and internal use.
• Ensure compliance with data protection and information security policies.
• Provide account management support where needed.
• Answer incoming calls and resolve queries.
• Invoicing tasks and ad hoc duties as required.
