NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - FULL TRAINING PROVIDED

If you have experience operating UV Digital Printers, then great. If not, but you would like to learn how to do this, then this is the job for you. If you also have a Graphic Design background and would like to use your creativity and earn commission from your designs, then this job could be for you too. Although, this position will involve operating UV Digital Printing Machines as well as being involved in the creative side of the business, so you must be happy to work in both types of roles.

SALARY: £25,000 per annum / £30,000 OTE (includes Basic Salary & Commission Payments)

COMMISSION PAYMENTS: You will have the opportunity to create captivating designs for large format backdrops used by Photo Studios around the world, where you will earn commission for each one sold online.

LOCATION: Watford, Hertfordshire (WD24)

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday (occasional weekend work may be required)

PLEASE NOTE: This role will involve heavy lifting on the print production side of the business

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity within the company’s Production Team for a detailed-oriented Print Operator / UV Digital Large Format Printer / Print Production Operative / Graphic Designer who either has previous experience or looking to break into the industry for the first time.

The company offers one of the most diverse background collections in the UK for professional photographers and photo studios, featuring over 1500 unique, in-house designed backdrops, from enchanted forests and vintage florals to rustic wood textures and elegant room sets. Proudly manufactured in Great Britain, the company take pride in combining artistic creativity with exceptional print quality.

Once trained, working as the Print Operator / UV Digital Large Format Printer / Print Production Operative / Graphic Designer you will operate the company’s UV digital printers, handling post-production tasks, and assisting in order fulfilment, ensuring each order is packaged correctly for safe transit to the customer.

As the Print Operator / UV Digital Large Format Printer / Print Production Operative / Graphic Designer your role will also include designing new backdrops and altering existing designs so a proficiency in Adobe Photoshop is essential.

DUTIES

Once trained your duties as a Print Operator / UV Digital Large Format Printer / Print Production Operative / Graphic Designer include:

• Operate and maintain UV digital printers to ensure consistent print quality

• Load, prepare, and manage image files using Photoshop

• Cut printed materials to size and package them for dispatch

• Liaise with the Production Manager to ensure all customer orders are completed on time

• Prepare and mount poles to specified sizes

• Book and schedule deliveries

• Assist with general workshop duties as required

• Media loading (this will involve heavy lifting)

• Designing new backdrop designs

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Experience with Adobe Photoshop is required

• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

• Ability to work independently and follow instructions

• Good communication skills and a proactive attitude

• Must be physically fit to carry out heavy lifting when required

• Previous experience in a production or print environment is an advantage, full training will be provided
