Job summary

WSP is recruiting a Principal/Associate Engineer to support delivery of urban drainage projects across the UK. You will supervise tasks, review deliverables and mentor junior staff within a growing water team.

You'll develop urban drainage modelling capabilities (InfoWorks ICM) and provide technical input to wastewater projects, while building strong client relationships and supporting business development and proposals. Hybrid working with flexible career development benefits.

Qualifications

• Relevant engineering degree and chartered, or progressing toward chartership with ICE/IEI/IoW/CIWEM.
• Experience in wastewater hydraulic modelling using InfoWorks ICM.
• Knowledge of Water Industry Specifications and Hydraulic Modelling standards.
• Strong communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Supervise tasks and review deliverables for project delivery.
• Develop urban drainage modelling capability within the team.
• Support the team lead in managing the local technical delivery team.
• Provide technical input on urban drainage projects and wastewater delivery.
• Exercise independent engineering judgement and propose innovative solutions.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and coordinate project meetings.
• Participate in business development and proposal preparation.
• Promote the WSP brand through industry forums and conferences.
• Share knowledge to develop the wider team.
