Job summary

WSP is seeking an Associate Director to lead our urban drainage modelling capability within the water environment team in the UK. You will guide technical delivery, support the team, and help shape client solutions for major water clients.

You will bring Chartered status, experience in wastewater hydraulic modelling (InfoWorks ICM), and strong stakeholder engagement. The role offers progression opportunities within a supportive, inclusive firm and hybrid working across UK offices.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree and chartered, or significantly progressed towards ICE, IEI, IoW or CIWEM.
• Strong knowledge of wastewater hydraulic modelling and ability to check outputs.
• Good knowledge of Water Industry Specifications and relevant standards.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of urban drainage modelling capability and stay ahead of methods and standards.
• Support day-to-day management of technical delivery team.
• Provide authoritative technical input on urban drainage projects with wastewater team.
• Apply independent judgement to solve engineering challenges and drive innovation.
• Build trusted client relationships and facilitate project meetings.
• Contribute to proposals and growth opportunities.
• Represent WSP in industry forums and share knowledge.
