Job summary

WSP is seeking a Principal or Associate Engineer to support the team in delivering projects, supervising tasks, and reviewing deliverables. You will develop urban drainage modelling capabilities and mentor junior staff, while supporting the local technical delivery team.

You will contribute technical input on urban drainage projects, influence delivery approaches, and build strong client relationships across Severn Trent, Scottish Water Horizons, Welsh Water and Southern Water frameworks.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree and chartered, or significantly progressed on your journey in pursuing qualification with ICE, IEI, IoW or CIWEM.
• Experience of wastewater hydraulic modelling (InfoWorks ICM) and ability to check outputs before issue.
• Knowledge of Water Industry Specifications, Code of Practice for Hydraulic Modelling of Urban Drainage Systems and relevant British Standards.
• Good presentation, written and verbal communications in English.

Responsibilities

• Support team leads in managing project delivery and review of deliverables.
• Develop urban drainage modelling capability and train junior team members.
• Support the local technical delivery team and manage work allocation.
• Provide technical input on urban drainage projects and support wastewater team on current and future projects.
• Contribute to technical quality and service efficiency through independent engineering judgement.
