Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd is seeking a Principal Supportability Engineer within the Through Life Services function to lead supportability activities on defence programmes and shape life-cycle strategies across ILS analyses.

You will influence design decisions, deliver reliability and through-life improvements, and mentor engineers within a hybrid-working environment with clear progression opportunities at Leonardo.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Experience applying Supportability Engineering in defence/aerospace.
• Ability to analyse reliability/maintenance data for improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of ILS activities across complex programmes.
• Define and validate supportability requirements throughout the lifecycle.
• Influence product/service design for reliability and through-life support.
• Develop maintenance strategies and provisioning approaches.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support bids and business development with specialist supportability input.
• Conduct analyses such as FMECA, maintainability, LORA and reliability analyses.
• Provide recommendations on risks and trade-offs to stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers within the Supportability community.
• Drive development and improvement of supportability standards and tools.
