Job summary

Leonardo is seeking a Principal Supportability Engineer to lead supportability and Through Life Services activities, shaping ILS strategy across complex defence programmes in the UK. You will guide maintenance concepts, provisioning, and through-life support while collaborating with systems engineering and customers to deliver affordable, resilient solutions.

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering, Science or related discipline.
Significant experience applying Supportability Engineering principles in defence/aerospace or regulated environments.
Experience analysing reliability, maintenance or operational performance data.
Experience performing Supportability analyses: Reliability Analysis, FMECA, Maintainability Analysis, LORA.

Responsibilities

Lead development and delivery of supportability and ILS activities across complex programmes.
Define, manage and validate supportability requirements across engineering lifecycle.
Influence product/service design to improve reliability, maintainability and through-life support.
Develop support concepts, maintenance strategies and through-life support solutions.
Collaborate with customers, suppliers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated support solutions.
Support bids and proposals providing specialist supportability expertise.
Lead analyses including FMECA, RBD, Maintainability Analysis, LORA and Supportability Assessments.
