Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking a Principal Supportability Engineer to lead supportability and Integrated Logistics Support activities across complex defence programmes, including TLS and GCAP initiatives. You will shape life-cycle concepts, influence design and maintenance strategies, and mentor engineers. The role requires a degree and extensive defence/aerospace experience, with opportunities for leadership and development. Hybrid working and a competitive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience applying Supportability Engineering in defence/aerospace.
• Ability to lead analyses such as FMECA, LORA and reliability assessments.
• Influence design for through-life support and maintenance strategies.
• Chartered Engineer status is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of supportability and ILS activities across complex programmes.
• Define and validate supportability requirements throughout the lifecycle.
• Collaborate with customers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated support solutions.
• Mentor engineers within the Supportability community and drive standards.
