Job summary

AWS EMEA SARL (UK Branch) is seeking a Principal Business Development Manager to lead AWS engagements with Private Equity firms and their portfolio companies. You will drive business strategy, develop relationships at the CxO/VP level, and coordinate with sales, partners, and product teams to expand AWS adoption across portfolio companies.

You will combine business acumen with a technical background to articulate AWS value, navigate complex engagements, and deliver scalable cloud transformations

Qualifications

• Experience in developing, negotiating and executing business agreements.
• Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level.
• Experience working with Data & AI related technologies, including AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database, and/or Storage.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key member of the Business Development team driving AWS market and technical strategy.
• Identify infrastructure needs within key PE portfolio companies and engage PE firms.
• Execute strategic business development plans aligning with internal stakeholders (sales, partners, marketing, support).
• Work with PE firms and portfolio company leadership to optimize benefits from AWS services and provide required technical resources.
• Understand and utilize Analytics tools and internal Amazon systems.
• Prepare and deliver business reviews to AWS senior leadership on PE engagement progress and roadblocks.
• Be the primary eyes and ears to the PE community on behalf of AWS and Amazon.
• Handle a high volume of concurrent engagements and scale with GenAI and cloud computing pace.
• Possess some technical knowledge (database systems, distributed computing, cloud, storage, GenAI) to differentiate AWS services.
