Job summary

AWS is seeking a Principal Business Development Manager for the Private Equity team to drive broader AWS adoption within PE firms and their portfolio companies. You’ll shape strategy, engage portfolio leadership, and coordinate with sales, partners, and marketing to accelerate cloud transformation and value realization.

You will interact with CxO/VP level partners, translating business value into technically informed opportunities and guiding teams across AWS to deliver measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in management, business or engineering is required.
• Proven experience shaping strategy influencing leadership decisions.
• Experience with core cloud services, AI/ML, analytics, and cloud modernization.

Responsibilities

• Drive AWS market and technical strategy as part of the BD team.
• Identify PE portfolio needs and drive PE engagement opportunities.
• Execute strategic business development plans with internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with PE firms and portfolio leaders to maximize AWS benefits.
• Utilize Analytics tools and internal systems to track progress.
• Prepare business reviews for AWS senior leadership on PE engagement.
• Represent AWS in PE community and nurture relations.
• Handle many engagements and scale with GenAI/cloud pace.
• Demonstrate knowledge of databases, distributed computing, cloud fundamentals, GenAI, CDN concepts.
