Job summary

AWS EMEA SARL (UK Branch) seeks a high-profile leader to shape the AI and cloud transformation strategy for Private Equity firms and their portfolio companies. You will coach and grow a technically skilled Business Development team, engage with senior executives, and collaborate across AWS to deliver value-driven cloud outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years developing, negotiating and executing business agreements.
• 10+ years of professional or military experience.
• 5+ years of experience managing and developing high performance teams in the tech industry.
• Experience in and deep knowledge of the PE and VC industries.

Responsibilities

• Serve as regional leader of the PE Business Development team in helping to drive overall AWS market and technical strategy.
• Serve as a reliable escalation point for key PE firms with portfolio companies that have infrastructure needs and drive strategic engagement with those PE firms.
• Execute the strategic business development plan while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g. sales teams, partners, marketing, support, etc.).
• Hire, on-board, train, and develop new Business Development Managers and Solutions Architects from internal and external sources.
• Build and coach the team on the skills needed to conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions so they can transfer deep technical skills to customers who are considering or using AWS.
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS private equity BD and field sales community.
• Educate customers across all segments on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful AI deployment and in the cloud.
• Strong operational and budgeting skills; able to be an owner of the regional business.
