Job summary

WSP is seeking a Principal Geospatial Consultant to lead GeoAI-driven GIS projects across infrastructure, land, water, and environmental sectors. The role focuses on designing, building and deploying advanced geospatial solutions and production-grade Python workflows.

You will mentor junior staff, collaborate with GIS, Data Science, and Engineering teams, and contribute to shaping WSP’s GeoAI approach while delivering high-quality client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in GIS with a focus on Python development and automation.
• Practical AI/ML experience applied to geospatial problems (object detection, feature extraction, spatial prediction).
• Experience with ArcGIS Pro/Enterprise and geodatabases.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop GeoAI solutions using Esri tools and open-source AI frameworks.
• Write production-grade Python toolboxes and spatial data pipelines.
• Integrate PyTorch or TensorFlow into geospatial workflows for scalable insights.
• Lead GeoAI project workstreams across utilities, land ownership, and water/environmental modelling.
• Mentor junior GIS analysts and promote best practices in spatial data science.
