Job summary

WSP is seeking a Principal Geospatial Consultant to lead GeoAI and GIS delivery on major infrastructure projects. You’ll design, build and deploy advanced geospatial solutions, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver impactful data-driven insights.

This hands-on role focuses on production-grade Python workflows, Esri platforms, and ML integration, ensuring quality deliverables and ongoing capability development across the practice.

Qualifications

• Significant GIS experience with Python and automation.
• Experience applying AI/ML to geospatial problems.
• Degree in GIS/Geography/CS or related.
• Ability to communicate technical outputs to non-GIS audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop GeoAI solutions using Esri tools and open AI frameworks.
• Write production-grade Python toolboxes and spatial data pipelines.
• Integrate deep learning frameworks into geospatial workflows.
• Lead technical delivery on GeoAI project workstreams.
• Collaborate with project managers to scope and quality-assure GIS deliverables.
• Provide technical assurance and peer review.
• Produce technical documentation and present findings.
• Mentor junior GIS analysts and developers.
• Stay current with Esri releases and GeoAI tools.
