Job summary

TWI Ltd is seeking a Principal Engineer to provide technical leadership across space, aerospace, nuclear, automotive and defence programmes. You will lead complex engineering delivery and act as a recognised technical authority with customers and partners in the UK and beyond.

The role requires significant leadership experience, strong client management skills, and the ability to mentor engineering teams. BPSS clearance applies; existing clearance is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical/ aerospace/ manufacturing or materials science.
• Chartered status (or actively pursuing) preferred.
• Experience leading work in highly regulated industries is valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery of complex engineering programmes.
• Act as a technical authority across key sectors.
• Develop trusted relationships with customers and partners.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor staff.
• Represent TWI at meetings, conferences and events.
• Support growth of TWI's technical capabilities.
