Stantec is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to provide technical leadership across major UK water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will lead electrical and EICA design from feasibility to construction, ensure governance, and mentor multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or IEng, or equivalent experience.
• Significant experience delivering electrical or EICA design within the water sector or comparable infrastructure industries.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering standards, technical governance and quality assurance.
• Excellent client relationship, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience mentoring and developing engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical and EICA design from feasibility and concept development through to detailed design and construction support.
• Provide technical oversight, governance and quality assurance across project delivery.
• Review and approve key electrical design documentation, calculations and specifications.
• Build strong relationships with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Mentor engineers, support business growth and contribute to bids and framework opportunities.
• Champion engineering best practice and continuous improvement across the discipline.
