Job summary

Stantec in the UK is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead electrical and EICA design for water and wastewater projects, coordinating with clients and internal teams. You will drive technical excellence and support the growth of our Electrical Engineering capability across Midlands and South West.

You will mentor engineers, ensure quality design, and influence project outcomes while working with multidisciplinary teams in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status, or working towards professional registration.
• Experience delivering electrical or EICA engineering solutions within complex infrastructure environments.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering design principles, specifications and technical documentation.
• Experience producing and reviewing deliverables such as Single Line Diagrams, Control Philosophies and technical reports.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, stakeholders and project teams.
• Experience mentoring and supporting junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of electrical and EICA design solutions across major water and wastewater projects.
• Provide technical guidance and support throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors and internal specialists to deliver innovative engineering solutions.
• Mentor developing engineers and contribute to the growth of our technical capability.
