Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Principal Electrical Engineer to lead strategic technical direction across water and wastewater projects in the UK. Based in London, High Wycombe or Reading, you will shape design approaches, mentor engineers and drive delivery from feasibility through to construction.

You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver resilient, sustainable infrastructure. You’ll act as a technical authority, oversee SLDs, diagrams and specifications, support bids and

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards professional registration.
• Extensive experience delivering electrical or EICA design in water, utilities, infrastructure.
• Proven experience leading complex engineering projects and providing technical direction.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering standards and governance.
• Experience mentoring, developing and supporting engineers.
• Excellent communication skills to influence clients and teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex electrical and EICA design across major projects.
• Act as technical authority on design standards and project delivery.
• Oversee production of SLDs, diagrams, specifications and control philosophies.
• Collaborate with clients, project managers, contractors and teams.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to engineers.
• Support business growth through bids and frameworks.
