Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to provide technical leadership on major UK water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will lead electrical and EICA design from feasibility through construction, ensuring governance, QA and high-quality delivery while mentoring engineers and supporting bids.

You will build strong client relationships, oversee key design documentation, and champion engineering best practices across multidisciplinary teams within our Water business.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or equivalent experience.
• Significant experience delivering electrical or EICA design within water or similar sectors.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering standards, governance and QA.
• Excellent client relationship, communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical and EICA design from feasibility to detailed design and construction support.
• Provide technical oversight, governance and quality assurance across delivery.
• Review and approve key electrical design documentation, calculations and specifications.
• Mentor engineers and support bids and framework opportunities.
