Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the UK seeks a Principal/Associate Director electrical engineer to lead the electrical infrastructure scope across major projects. You will provide technical leadership for utility networks and coordinate with National Grid, DNOs and stakeholders.

You'll drive network capacity, connections, and protection strategies, guiding multidisciplinary teams. Hybrid working is available with opportunities on client sites or from home, subject to security and project needs.

Qualifications

• Essential Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience delivering major infrastructure, energy, or nuclear projects.
• Chartered Engineer status desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for electrical infrastructure across major projects.
• Lead planning, coordination, and integration of utility networks (HV/MV/LV).
• Manage interfaces with National Grid, DNOs, ICPs, regulators and stakeholders.
• Develop long‑term power supply strategies and risk management for utilities.
• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and ensure design governance.
