Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior/Principal Electrical Engineer to join our Water team in the UK. You will lead electrical delivery across projects from concept to delivery, working with clients directly and mentoring junior engineers.

The role supports AMP8 programmes, offering hybrid working and opportunities to influence major water infrastructure schemes. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, develop robust design packages, and promote innovation and sustainability in water

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered or Incorporated status with IET or eligible within 12 months.
• Experience leading technical delivery in water sector or transferable industry.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience in risk assessment and process safety studies (e.g. HAZOP).

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery on electrical engineering solutions for water resource projects through all stages of the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated, sustainable outcomes.
• Provide technical guidance, support, and assurance to engineers and technicians.
• Develop and review technical reports, calculations, specifications, drawings and design packages.
• Build relationships with clients, stakeholders and project partners.
• Contribute to innovation and adoption of new technologies.
• Identify opportunities to create additional client value.
