Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Associate Director – EIA / DCO to lead environmental assessment and consenting on nationally significant infrastructure across the UK, with roles in Bristol, London or Reading.

You'll manage multidisciplinary teams, deliver Environmental Statements, advise clients on consenting strategies, and grow our environmental capabilities while maintaining strong client relationships and project performance.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in environmental consultancy, EIA and environmental consenting.
• Experience leading EIA and DCO workstreams on major infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of Planning Act 2008 and EIA legislation.

Responsibilities

• Lead EIA for DCO applications and major infrastructure projects.
• Provide strategic environmental advice and consenting strategy throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead workstreams from inception to submission and examination.
• Oversee preparation and QA of Environmental Statements and related documents.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage project delivery, budgets and quality.
• Develop client relationships and identify new opportunities.
• Support bids and business development in EIA/DCO services.
• Mentor colleagues and contribute to capability growth.
• Collaborate across planning, environmental and engineering disciplines.

Education

Relevant degree in environmental science or related field
