Stantec is seeking a Principal EIA – DCO Consultant to leadEnvironmental Impact Assessments for Development Consent Order projects from scoping through submission. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, provide technical advice and support business development while mentoring junior staff across the UK’s infrastructure portfolio.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in EIA, environmental consultancy or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrable experience contributing to or leading EIA for DCO applications and nationally significant infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of EIA legislation, planning policy and consenting guidance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) for DCO applications and other major infrastructure projects.
• Manage EIA workstreams through the consenting lifecycle from scoping to submission.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs and ensure robust, proportionate assessments.
• Lead preparation and QA of Environmental Statements and related documents.
• Provide technical advice on environmental impacts, mitigations and consenting risks.
• Mentor junior colleagues and support business development activities.
